The Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) is a £60m institute for acceleration of innovation in graphene and other 2D materials towards products and applications. Housed in the Masdar Building at The University of Manchester, our application and business development teams are dedicated to bridging the gap between lab and market and ensuring maximum return on investment in advanced materials research and development.

We do utilize artificial intelligence and hardware-software interface to optimize solar energy systems productivity in developing markets. We conform the technical layer of our sister company, SunBox Group Ltd., a multinational solar implementation company operating across the MENA region. Our vast experience with implementation in developing markets has allowed us to identify to main problems of sustainable solar system use. We have three years of experience in those markets. We have identified the most pressing challenges, and have hundreds of potential clients for our technological solution.

Concretene - graphene-enhanced concrete engineered for sustainability. A joint venture between the GEIC and UK construction firm Nationwide Engineering has resulted in a product - Concretene - that allows for reduction of up to 30% of material in concrete slab applications for the same structural performance and removal of all steel grid reinforcement. Concretene saves on material and labour cost, time on site and reduces CO2 emissions by 25-30%; video:
