Containers: Masdar City’s Tech Park includes an eco-friendly cluster of offices made from recycled shipping containers. The eco-friendly and durable containers, measuring 12.2 metres long by 2.4 metres wide, offer an excellent solution to Masdar City’s need to accommodate a growing working population – which has reached over 4,000 – while maintaining its commitment to low-carbon, economically viable sustainable development. Recycled shipping containers meet Masdar City’s strict sustainability standards, having significantly lower embodied energy costs than regular offices.
